Primates Survey of Diurnal-Nocturnal Primates With "Lutung" Forum Studi Primata at Dayeuh Luhur, Sumedang Village, Ganeas Sub-District, West Java

Population size is very important data on wildlife conservation management. To the abundance of the species together habitat quality is usually used as a basic parameter for the existence of wildlife. Most primates are protected animals, as an indicator of ecosystem health, and help monitor other animals and plants. "Lutung" Forum Studi Primata is An organization that focuses on the field of primate science, founded on February 22, 2002, plays a role in primate conservation, both conservative and educative in a persuasive way. 


In 2017-2019 I supported this monitoring program in the field, the purpose of this monitoring is: Identify species of primates, measure the population and distribution of primates, Measure habitat carrying capacity, threat identification, quality of behavior's primates. This monitoring is carried out in Dayeuh Luhur, Sumedang village, and is carried out every 3 months in 1 period. The focus of monitoring primates is divided into 2, namely, monitoring of diurnal primates (Trachypitherus auratus, Presbitys comata, and Macaca fascicularis) and nocturnal primates (Nycticebus javanicus).
